| Question Asker Person: | Can I get a peapod in Gold? |
| PeapodSilver: | Chessa has just completed a PMC Instructor Certification workshop with metals master Tim McCreight and as part of that workshop she learned how to work with Aura 22k Gold. The Aura process involves firing 22 karat gold onto the fine silver, much like gold leafing. She will be applying this technique to select peapods soon as a test and if you are interested in seeing them during the testing process please contact her and she can send images. There is also a PMC Gold available but due to the severe cost of this material Chessa has not been able to try it out on the peas. If you would like to commission a gold peapod please contact her for pricing and details, she would LOVE to try it out!! |
| Question Asker Person: | I want to make a special present for my three best friends, can you give me some suggestions? |
| PeapodSilver: | We love custom work!! We have created custom pendants with customized initials and birthstones, a treasured symbol for a group completed with custom dates, and of course peas! What a great way to say you are always in each other's thoughts than sharing a pod with friends. Here are some pictures of custom work we have done:

| Question Asker Person: | What is fine silver and how do I clean it? |
| PeapodSilver: | Fine silver contains a higher silver content than sterling silver. Sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper, where as fine silver contains 99.9% pure silver. Fine silver will tarnish as quickly as sterling silver. Certain conditions and body's reactions will increase the rate that the silver tarnishes, the chlorine of pool water (and sometimes showers) is a well known culprit to taking off shine and turning the most beautiful silver black, but silver starts to tarnish just from exposure to air. There are several ways to restore the shine and luster of tarnished silver, but please be mindful of the effects of some cleaners on any other components of the jewelry. Certain natural materials especially amber, opal, pearl, cannot be submerged in polishing dip or liquid and will have to be cleaned by a polishing cloth. Silver polishes work well on all silver pendants and pins but the best bet for chains is still the polishing cloth. You can find a polishing cloth at many stores or please email me when you order a new piece of jewelry and I can include a cloth for an extra fee. If I send you jewelry packaged with white paper, it will be a tarnish free paper that is safe to store your new jewelry in. If you get really stuck or REALLY hate polishing silver take it to a jewelry repair store or kiosk and they should be able to clean it for you for a fee. |
| Question Asker Person: | Where did the name PeapodSilver come from? |
| PeapodSilver: | The name came after months of name brainstorming sessions with all kinds of great people! I love all of you!! The key night, yes I remember it well, it began like any other cool October evening... sike!! My super awesome husband, Miguel, and number one girl, Elyse, and I all agreed we didn't hate the name Silver Green Beans. PeapodSilver was official less than a day later, after the first peapod emerged from the fire. |
